The Importance of Lunch

Lunch is deeply undervalued these days and I cannot stress enough just how important it can be.

First it's a time for inspiration. The people you are with the surroundings you are in will all lend themselves to great ideas and new directions. I'm not suggesting we all have to eat (or drink) to excess during lunch, but taking time to eat and talk is never a bad thing.

I have had some of my greatest ideas at lunch and, as anyone who follows my ethos will know, my designs are not only beautiful but functional. They are created to live as we do - in the real world, where the important things are those around us.

Of course in this economic downturn, it is even more important to help spread the wealth and what better way that to do so over a meal in a wonderful restaurant.

At 68 I'm new to blogging but anyone who know me will know I love communicating. I have spent years speaking to whole generations through my designs (and plan to do so for a good few more) and I guess blogging is another way of communicating to a new generation.
What really bugs me though - as I try to get a handle on this digital age - is I can't even use my name in this blog address because it's taken!!!
